Hi there! I’m Mary Alumah, a thirty year old weight loss blogger, fashion lover, and writer. I and my husband Philip Patton created this blog to document our journey of weight loss, healthy eats and training for my first marathon. I have been running for almost 7 years now, but it is still very difficult for me to lose weight!

I love food. I used to think that I loved food too much, but I think I just loved the wrong foods. My diet was full of heavy, fried food and empty calories and my gym membership went unused month after month. I didn’t want to be one of those people who others look and and say, “Is she pregnant or just really fat?”. At the rate I was going, that question would certainly be asked.

In 2009, I decided to change all that. I lost 70 pounds and gained a love for healthy food that are delicious too, exercise, good weight loss solutions and myself that I didn’t have before. Now, my life is healthier and I am happier.

I documented everything I ate and wrote about all of my workouts. What you will find are realistic ways to stay healthy on the go. Join me on this weight loss journey as I go through ups and downs, good and bad, and continue to take it one day at a time!
